  • SCMS focus would be to provide training for up-skilling of existing manpower and for new inductees at existing and new centres on national platform.
  • Upgrade the skills of existing workforce for different trades of both fuel & non-fuel minerals and new inductees (school pass out/ drop out) unemployed youths of remote and tribal areas.
  • SCMS will associate Centre and State Govts. in providing training to local youth in mining areas under the training component of appropriate schemes.
  • A greater emphasis will be laid on awareness about sustainable mining process. The training programme covers twenty three trades (100 job roles) including different trades of maintenance, ore beneficiation, ore operator, mining mates, lab assistant, safety supervisor, survey techniques, fitter, shot firer, heavy earth moving machine (HEMM) operators, fire-tender operator, driller, welders, rubber vulcanization, rubber liner, slicing specialist, loader, tyre mechanics, liebherr loader, tipper driver, dumper & dozer operator, shovel operator, crane operator, serang etc.
